Nicole Stewart
Nicole has been an animal lover her entire life. Despite her parents’ insistent protest, she housed a menagerie of pets from her early childhood through the present day. Whether it was frogs, hamsters, bunnies, cats or dogs, she always had a deep interest in how animals view the world.
She began her educational journey into the mind of animals when she attended Delaware Valley College and received her Bachelors Degree in Animal Behavior, Training, and Enrichment. Her interest in Agility Training began while running her German Shorthaired Pointer, Benson, through an agility class held by Julie O’Konski - another wonderful trainer here at Wagsworth. Nicole was able to watch her hyperactive, no-focus, ball-crazy, wild puppy turn into a focused gentleman before her eyes!
Nicole has recently initiated the Gifted Enrichment Program, a program for select day camp dogs. Offering the basics of agility training, obedience and problem-solving, the Gifted Enrichment Program keeps our most intelligent day camp dogs challenged mentally, and gives them the opportunity to expend not only their physical energy, but their mental energy as well.
